My computer crashed and I didn't know what I was going to do, because of school I needed it, but my mother was nice enough to get me a new one. Things have been so hectic around here, with me trying to keep up with my classes, homeschool my son, and make jewelry. I had an open house but nobody came.....I was crushed but hey life goes on it won't stop me from having another one. I really have no complaints I'm just thankful to see another beautiful day and doing what I love to do.

Well so far things are going really great with the website, I'm about to go and update that as well. I'm a member of this one small biz networking site and I had my website listed and I kept wondering why nobody was commenting on it, come to find out my website was listed wrong..so I corrected that and hopefully I'll get some positive hits back...looking forward to that if I do. At the moment I'm just enjoying life.....I have a little break from school so I plan to use my off time wisely.

I'm feeling almost a little overwhelmed. Last night I was going through the jewelry that I have made and I've made so many pieces that I'm running out of room where to put them! So since I'm trying to run a business....yes I want to make money from my jewelry and at the same time I'm thinking what do I do with all these pieces? Should I give some away or what? I don't know I'm still trying to figure that one out.....I'm sure the more I think about it, the more creative ideas I'll get.

This has been an amazing week so far. Today I got a lot things accomplished so I'm happy about that. I finally got some new beads and I can't wait to start making new jewelry. I'm also working with this company that sells African Botanical Products and let me tell you these products work they are amazing. Before my son was going to the doctor for acne and everything we tried wasn't working and the cost of that medicine was expensive. So I had my son try some of our products which were less expensive than all those creams and my sons face looks better than ever. Check out the site and let me know what you think!

I just can't understand why some people commit crimes that don't seem to make sense. If you have too much free time on your hands then jeez find a hobby or something. A woman kills her daughters playmate, now we have a medical student who killed a woman it just doesn't fit. Why???? That is the question I keep asking myself why waste your life like this? Maybe I'm watching too much CSI!!!

a case that haunts me...

As a Criminal Justice student, I've come across some strange cases, but the case I write about today takes the cake for me. It's the Amanda Knox and Meredith Kercher case. To look at Amanda Knox she looks like the average girl nextdoor. Meredith was a very pretty woman from Europe. She died a slow painful death of drowning in her own blood, yet her roomate Amanda has changed her story 3 times so is she innocent or guilty. I guess in my heart I want to believe she is innocent, but after the murder her and her boyfriend were acting very odd, almost as if they didn't care what had just happened. Her trial starts in January and it will be very interesting to see how this all plays out.

A Personal Journey

Tearing down trees.......

I am really upset at the fact that this company has come into where I live and they are tearing down all the oak trees in the forest which surrounds my home. Ok, if that is private property I understand. What I don't understand is if you are going to cut down a tree, why not plant another in its place? At the rate we are going our children are not going to have a good earth left.

So much has happened to me this past month, I don't even know where to begin or what to talk about first. At least my family isn't the only ones going through something. Lets see my friend Nata passed away, but I knew when she went into the hospital the last time that she wouldn't be coming back I just sensed that. Sunday my 19 year old nephew passed away and his funeral is Thursday. There are 4 people I know who died and all of their funerals are Thursday at 11am well I can't be in two places at once so I know I'll be going to my nephews funeral. Life just isn't fair why him, such a young age I'll never understand it.

Well today is the big day, I've been waiting for this day all summer. I hope it doesn't rain, because a lot of people are going to be here today this is a big event for a small town. Hopefully everything we set out will sale because I don't want to drag any of this stuff back into the house. I'm glad it's today and tomorrow so maybe we'll all make a little extra money this weekend. With the price of gas and other things going up, every little bit helps. As for sleeping last night, it was ok....hot but ok!

in one of my classes our instructor wants us to make a list of a few goals and then make it public. anyone who knows me, would know that did not make me too happy, because i'm a very private person. the more i thought about it the more i realized that making my goals public isn't such a bad idea afterall. my top 2 goals are: networking with more people for business reasons, and losing 50lbs.....losing for me not to impress a man.

I was having a fairly great day yesterday, but there were a few times during the day where I just felt like: BLAH YOU KNOW!! Perhaps we all feel like that on some days so it's not a crime and I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Well for those of you who don't know me, you have no idea how much I've been longing for my brother to come to his senses and contact us. I'll admit I've spent a few sleepless nights crying. I had shared this with my mother and as I told her, I can only imagine as his "mother" how she must have been feeling, knowing her child is out there somewhere and not knowing for sure if he was alright. What I can't understand is why? Why hasn't he picked up his phone to call us since December of 2007??????? My nephew has called us a few times, upset and saying his father was not doing well and needed to come home, but yet nobody made that move to go get him. If only I would have got on that plane and went out there perhaps things would have turned out differently.

I'm not even sure what to say here, but it has really been a trying year for my family. I'm so upset, because I thought this was going to be the year where my entire family would get back to the way we used to be, but it ain't happening!!!!!! I remember when we all used to get together and cookout and just have a fantastic fun time, but lately it seems that my family can't stand each other. We don't really get together anymore, unless it's for a wedding or funeral. Go figure. Anyways....just needed to vent.

Okay I know I'll probably offend someone with my blog entry but at this point I do not care. It is time for people to stand up for what they believe in and not back down from nothing or nobody! I live in the United States and I used to think we were the greatest county in the world, but as of today I'm not so sure if that is true. I feel this way, because I look at all this crap the government spends on stuff, but yet our older Americans are struggling with health insurance and sometimes they'll skip getting their medicines because it's either buy food or medicine. Now come there is no reason in the world older people should be having such struggles. Another thing that pisses me off is homeless people. Why do we even have homeless people in America? I'll never understand that, but I'm only one person and it'll take many more to fix that situation. Now on to gas. The price of gas is crazy and recently I was talking to a man who told me a great idea. If everybody in America would for just one day, car pool and not buy an once of gas then would that make them lower the price of gas. hmmmm I don't know but I think it's worth trying out just to see. The last thing I'll vent about is religion. What is up with all this violence ok I am a Christian and far from a perfect one, but I'm still growing, my thing is between Muslims and Christians. I thought Islam was supposed to be peaceful, but yet they seem violent. So if any of my friends decide to read this and want to tackle that question go right ahead.

there is so many news stories out there that are making the headlines, but one story has totally captured all of my attention. it all plays out like a bad movie, i should say a "nightmare" for the ones who are going through it. this story is of the former new york governor: Eliot Spitzer and the "so called" woman who brought everything in this mans life crashing down on his head. i'm not God, so it is not for me to judge these people, i'm just giving my opinion. i found this case to be interesting, because i'm currently going to school and studying Criminal Justice although i'm going into Forensics, i have this thing about crimes and death and the stupid things people do. Mr. Spitzer really should have known better, but i sit and wonder if he had not been caught would he have continued to be a part of this ring? here is a man who dedicated his life in trying to make a difference for the better and now he has fallen and disgraced his entire family. i do admire his wife though, you can tell she is a strong woman and a true classy "lady". what goes on at their home i will never know, but not one time did i see this woman break down in front of cameras. i read an article and all her friends said only good and positive things about her, i just hope their friends stick by them in this difficult time. now moving to the young lady who is aka as Kristen, i can't understand why she would give an interview to the media. if you ask me, that would not only put her life in danger, but also the lives of her family. this girl has no idea of the impact she has caused!!!

A Miracle

Well it has been quite a long time since I wrote a entry for my blog. I've considered my passion for writing a real blessing, but so much has happened in my life, I just did not want to deal with anything!! For a few months I have been really torn between some issues going on in my life and one of those is: FAMILY! Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but there are times when I wish I could just disappear and go to a place where nobody knows me and start my life over fresh, but I need to be realistic because I have 2 children to take care of. I want to be around to see my children become adults, to graduate from school, get married, and start families of their own. At times I find myself thinking about my relatives who have passed on, ones like my Aunt Emma, she was a good woman and she would have really enjoyed my children especially my daughter Carlissa, she has a sweet spirit about her and she is very much loved. Then there is my Aunt Rose and Aunt Mary, my son Roger remembers Aunt Mary, she was the "cool" auntie that you could just chill with and what I loved about Auntie was no matter what she kept it REAL with you!!! Aunt Rose was the party girl she kicked it ALL the time and she really would have been truly crazy about Roger to be able to see them together talking would have been a funny sight!! Right now my family is truly being tested, but a real miracle has happened within this family. My cousin Anthony was rushed to the hospital the other day and for a moment in my heart I didn't think he would make it, but God must have an important job for Anthony to do, because his sugar went up to 3600..........can you believe that no doctor has ever seen something like that, to have your sugar go up that high and you survived to tell about it omg........AMAZING!! Even though it isn't personally happening to me, its been a real wake up call for me, because life is so short and I know that I tend to take this for granted, but now I'm looking at things in a whole different light.

well so far today things have been going okay. my back is really hurting me right now, but not much i can do about it. if i would have known that i would have this much pain i would never have gone through with that surgery. i miss being able to go for walks with my kids, i can't do much of anything anymore. my cousin got married on june 30th and i pulled out an outfit i thought would be perfect to wear, only to discover that is was too tight. man was that ever depressing. i decided to go vegetarian its not really hard, but sometimes when someone is cooking bacon...mmm makes me think twice. in the long run i know i made the better choice for myself.

Today is a very special day for me, I have decided it's time for me to take my life back! So to all my family and friends get ready it's going to be a fantastic ride!!
